Our Annual Events

Himalayan Pariwar proudly organizes several cultural and social events throughout the year, providing a platform for the Nepalese community in Germany to celebrate their heritage, strengthen bonds, and pass traditions on to the younger generation. These events foster a sense of belonging while keeping Nepalese customs alive in a foreign land.

Nepali New Year Program

Welcoming the Nepali New Year with joy and enthusiasm, this event features cultural performances, traditional music, dance, and delicious Nepali food.

Summer Grill Program

A fun-filled outdoor gathering where the community comes together for barbecue, music, games, and socializing.

Dedicated to the women of the Nepalese community, the Teej Program celebrates the vibrant festival of Teej with traditional red attire, dancing, singing, and cultural performances.

Teej Celebration
Dashain Celebration

Dashain, Nepal’s biggest festival, is celebrated with great enthusiasm. The Dashain Program brings the community together to exchange blessings, enjoy traditional feasts, and participate in cultural performances. The highlight is the elders putting Tika and Jamara on younger family members, symbolizing love and prosperity.

Tihar Celebration

The festival of lights, Tihar, is marked by Deusi-Bhailo performances, decorating homes with oil lamps, and celebrating Laxmi Puja. The event fosters cultural exchange, bringing Nepalese traditions into the heart of Germany. Children and adults alike participate in lively song and dance performances, making it one of the most joyful celebrations of the year.

Sarawasti puja

Dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the deity of wisdom and learning, this event is especially important for students. Families bring their children to receive blessings for their academic success, and young kids begin their first writing ("Khanda-Puja") as a sacred initiation into learning.
