Distribution of Tents and warm goods
In 2023, Himalayan Pariwar München e.V. demonstrated its unwavering commitment to humanitarian aid by donating approximately €6,000 to support the victims of the devastating earthquake in Jajarkot, Nepal. Understanding the urgent need for assistance, the team mobilized quickly to provide essential relief to affected families, ensuring they had the necessary resources to withstand the harsh conditions.
As part of this initiative, 101 individuals received warm clothing and tents, offering them much-needed comfort and protection during this difficult time. In addition to distributing relief materials, the organization actively contributed to constructing temporary shelters, giving families a safe place to stay as they began rebuilding their lives.
This humanitarian effort was more than just financial aid—it was a symbol of solidarity, hope, and resilience. By standing with the earthquake-affected communities, Himalayan Pariwar reinforced the importance of collective action and the deep bond that Nepalese living abroad share with their homeland. The organization remains committed to continuing its support, ensuring that those in need receive the help and encouragement necessary to overcome adversity.

Reconstruction of Shree Kalika Devi Higher Secondary School
Himalayan Pariwar extended its support to the reconstruction of Shree Kalika Devi Higher Secondary School, which suffered severe damage in the 2015 earthquake that devastated Sindhupalchowk, Nepal. The massive earthquake left behind widespread destruction, including the complete collapse of the school’s 10-room building, leaving hundreds of students without a safe space for learning. The villagers, already struggling with the impact of the disaster, were deeply distressed about their children’s future, as education came to a standstill.
Understanding the urgency of rebuilding, Himalayan Pariwar, in collaboration with the Namaste Nepal Freiberg team, took swift action to support the construction of an earthquake-resistant school building. This new facility, designed to withstand future seismic events, consists of 8 well-equipped classrooms, ensuring that students can continue their education in a safe and secure environment.
Himalayan Pariwar remains dedicated to supporting education and community development, ensuring that young minds have the opportunity to grow and thrive, even in the face of adversity. Through such efforts, we continue to strengthen the bond between Nepalese living abroad and the communities in Nepal that need our support the most.

Other Humanitarian Projects
In 2019, the association, together with the NGO Nepal Paropakar Association, helped to renovate an orphanage in Kathmandu Nepal and provide education to 40 children in the village of Dhulikhel Kavre.

Nepali Pathshala
Himalayan Pariwar operates a dedicated school with the goal of introducing the younger generation of the Nepalese community in Germany to the richness of Nepalese language, culture, and traditions. In a multicultural society, it is vital for children of Nepali origin to stay connected to their roots, and this program serves as a bridge between their heritage and their daily lives in Germany. By learning the Nepali language and embracing traditional customs, children develop a strong sense of identity and belonging, fostering pride in their ancestry while thriving in their diverse surroundings.
Currently, around 25 students are actively learning the Nepali language at the school. Classes go beyond just reading and writing; they create an immersive and interactive experience where children naturally develop their language skills through conversations, storytelling, and cultural activities.
To make learning even more engaging, we regularly organize dance and music lessons, where children explore the beauty of traditional Nepali songs and dances, keeping Nepal’s artistic heritage alive. Additionally, fun games and interactive activities ensure that learning remains enjoyable and enriching. These activities encourage teamwork, boost confidence, and allow students to embrace their culture in a lively and exciting way.
Beyond academics and cultural exposure, the school has become a place where children find friendships and create lasting bonds with their peers. Many students have expressed how much they love coming to class, not only to learn but also to spend time with their friends who share similar backgrounds. The sense of community and togetherness built in these classes strengthens their connection to Nepalese traditions while giving them a safe and familiar space to grow.
Through this initiative, Himalayan Pariwar continues its mission to preserve Nepalese heritage, ensuring that the new generation carries forward the language, traditions, and values of Nepal with pride, no matter where they are in the world.
